With 76,876,128 passengers in 2002 and 79,1 Mio. in 2003, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is the largest Airport in the world, in front of Chicago O’Hare International (ORD) with 66,501,496 passengers in 2002 (statistics from Airports Council International - North America) and 69,4 Mio. in 2003 (Statistics Fraport AG). - However Chicago was still the busiest airport in terms of aircraft movements with 922,817 total movements (ATL 889,966) in 2002 (2003 according to Fraport: Chicago 928,889 and ATL 911,723).
